We are proud to announce that the energyShield will be assembled in the USA! We are working with a company right here in Melbourne, FL known as Jaycon Systems. Jaycon is fairly well known in the DIY electronics community as a distributor, but they are, even more so, a contract manufacturer. Obviously they will assemble your PCBs, but they also have the capability to design your parts (circuit boards, enclosures, etc.) and source all of your components. They will go out of their way to work with you whether you are making 100 or 100,000 units. If you are looking to manufacture anything of this nature, I recommend contact them and take them into consideration.
Last week they assembled the first three energyShields as production proofs.
All three of them passed with flying colors. On to the rest of them!
We have also received the power adapters that we will be sending you with your energyShields.
It doesn’t seem like 425 power adapters is a big deal… until you have to carry it. These three boxes total almost 100 lbs. We are excited that the production is beginning. We will keep you updated as things progress.
