To begin I want to say, THANK YOU for your support! The energyShield project has been lunched for just over 17 hours and we have already reached 19% of our goal! Please help us keep this momentum by spreading the word. Please continue to share the project on Facebook and Twitter. If you are a blogger you can EMBED our campaign in your blog. I am sure that, together, we can blow though the project goal and on to bigger things.

Shortly after launching the energyShield project it was brought to our attention that we did not mention how the CHARGE the energyShield. The energyShield is charged by plugging a “standard” Arduino AC/DC adapter (7-20V) into the energyShield. The energyShield charges with up to 500 mA of current and will source up to an additional 1 A to an Arduino through the “raw” pin. To fulfill these requirement we are INCLUDING an AC/DC adapter with every energyShield! (9V, 1.5A, center +, US Plug)

Questions were also raised about offering INTERNATIONAL rewards. We originally did not offer international rewards because of the complications of international shipping and our inexperience (as this is our first Kickstarter campaign). Upon further review today, we have decided to offer TWO new rewards designed to ship internationally. These have exactly the same rewards as the “MAIN ATTRACTION” and the “SUPER BACKER PACKAGE,” but cost $10 more to account for international shipping.

Here at NightShade Electronics we are thrilled by the positive response and support that everyone has already given the energyShield. We are excited to see how everything continues with the campaign and, with your help, how far we can take it.
