Description
The bbDuino is designed to be the perfect breadboard prototyping Arduino board. The bbDuino is an Arduino Uno style board and it attaches to a standard breadboard, injecting 5V or 3.3V into each of the two power rails. This power is supplied from the USB jack or from the built-in rechargeable battery! In addition to having the standard Arduino headers, to allow the use of shields, bbDuino also has an auxiliary header that duplicates all of the Arduino connections. This lets you conveniently and neatly jump between the Arduino connections and your breadboard without interfering with the pins used by a shield, so that you to add or subtract shields from your project without having to re-wire everything! Finally, when you are finished developing you can unplug bbDuino from the computer, your project keeps running! Even though the USB is disconnected from the bbDuino, the onboard battery power circuitry keeps powering your project, seamlessly.
The bbDuino is capable of supplying 1A at 5V and 300mA at 3.3V. The power is turned on and off by the switch or the high-impedance EN pin (High=ON, Low=OFF).
