Mechanical Specification
All Trēo modules have a standardized mechanical interface that utilizes one hole size, a grid attachment pattern, and a common connector.
Mounting Holes
The hole size used on Trēo modules is 2.7mm in diameter which is intended as a clearance hole for a M2.5 fastener. The holes are located an integer factor of 10mm apart which enables the modules to be mounted onto a 10mm x 10mm grid as shown in the picture below.
Connections
The same primary Trēo electrical connector interface is used on every module whether it be a straight or right angle. The connector on the module is a JST GH type. This enables the use of any Trēo cable to be used with any Trēo module.
Each module contains board header connections that have a 0.1inch pitch. This matches the standard bread board pitch.
Other Typical Features
While the hole size, grid pattern, and connector types are the same across all Trēo modules, other features may vary occasionally. These are features that most modules will have unless the design would be improved with a variation:
- Edge distance of 2.5mm from the center of the mounting hole.
- Dimension from the center of the primary Trēo connector to the center of the top left mounting hole is 10mm.
- Board thickness of 1.2mm.
- Annulus rings diameter of 4.4mm around the mounting holes that are connected to circuit ground.
- Board header connections are centered on the left and right sides.
